Dawn at Bamburgh Castle, Northumberland, UK

This image was taken in late December 2007 when I was staying at neighbouring Seahouses for new year. I arrived well before sunrise and located a rocky plateau which I thought would make for foreground interest. The movement of the water over the rocks was quite unpredictable and I did get a bit wet. This particular image was taken about 20 minutes before sunrise. I used a 3 stop ND graduate filter to balance contrast.
