This image required driving down a road which was closed at night followed by a 30min walk, some of it knee deep through an estuary. It was really dark; there was no moon whatsoever, and as a result the galactic centre of the Milky Way was the clearest I have ever seen it. This structure is a lookout tower for the beach rescue team. Incidentally, the bright "star" low on the horizon is in fact....Mars!
